Maintenance
We offer planting bed maintenance to all new and existing planting beds. This includes hand pruning, fertilization, weed control, plant removal, and installation. We prefer to hand prune all new and existing plant material which will allow the plant to achieve its natural form and size. Shearing has its place, but overall it hinders the health and growth of the plant. Ideally if you need to shear your shrubs to keep them in their place you may want to consider installing the proper plant for the area. This would be a plant that will grow in a way that will stay in the space allotted.
Spring Maintenance:
Mulching, Edging, and Clean ups. Spring is the perfect time to clean up and get ready for the seasons to come. We offer full spring maintenance services including leaf and bed clean ups, edging of beds and mulching, and cleaning up sticks and debris from the lawn. Mulching really helps in controlling weeds, maintaining soil moisture, and keeping your beds clean and tidy.
Summer Weed Control:
We offer weed control services in all planting bed areas. We offer weekly or monthly maintenance and weed control services. This includes hand pulling or spraying depending on the maintenance plan that we develop with the client.
Leaves:
Basically leaves can feel like a never ending battle starting in August and finally ending at the end of November. We can set up a plan to collect and remove your leaves, saving you the time and effort throughout the fall season. Nothing looks better than a leaf free lawn and landscape. These leaves if left on the lawn, can hinder the quality of your lawn and also increase disease due to limited air and light to the turf. This also is the case in planting beds where a heavy leaf mat can reduce the amount of air and moisture movement to the root zone. This ultimately will lead to decline in the vigor of your trees, shrubs, and perennials.
